Norman Ibarra (norm)
I am a New York-based communication designer specializing in branding and iconography.
I received my BFA in Graphic Design from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California.
My interests include natural history, silkscreening, maps, letterpress printing, curbside junk, and the resilience of sea life in the Gowanus Canal.
I was born and raised in lower California (Mexico), and schooled and lived in upper California (USA). I have worked as a jewelry salesman, parking attendant, stock-room associate, busboy, banquet server, room service server, prep cook and graphic designer.
From these many trades I have learned to always keep a sharp knife in the kitchen, to lift with my legs, to juggle multiple projects, to take rudeness in stride, to pay attention to the little details, and most importantly, to always say please and thank you.
